BILATERAL VARIATION IN THE BRANCHING PATTERN OF THE AXILLARY ARTERY - A CASE REPORT

چکیده
During routine dissection of a male cadaver for I year MBBS students in the department Anatomy bilateral variations branching pattern Axillary artery were observed. In present study it was observed that, on left side, subscapular which usually arises from third part found to be originating second along with lateral thoracic and thoraco-acromial whereas anterior circumflex humeral posterior originated as usual. On right scapular Thoracodorsal arising common trunk is not usual pattern. Knowing such utmost significance performing various clinical procedures by Vascular surgeons, Radiologists, Clinical anatomists interventional diagnostic cardiovascular diseases.

A Rare Variation in Branching Pattern of the Internal Iliac Artery: A Case Report
Internal iliac artery (IIA) shows frequent variations in its branching pattern. We saw variations in the branching pattern of right IIA in a male cadaver. The IIA divided into anterior and posterior divisions. The branches of the anterior division included umbilical artery, inferior vesical artery, obturator artery. The other branches arose from posterior trunk such as iliolumbar, lateral s...

Introduction: The axillary artery extends to the subclavian artery, which gives blood the axillary region. This artery is starting from the outset of the first ribAnd ends near the inferior terse major muscle, and then goes on with the name of the Brachial artery, the axillary artery variation is common and given the blood supply to the upper limb Clinically important .These variations seem to b...

Introduction The axillary artery and its gross anatomy are well known to anatomists. The artery begins as a continuation of subclavian artery at the outer border of first rib and ends by becoming the brachial artery at the inferior border of teres major. The course of the artery varies with the position of the arm in relation to the body. When the arm is held at right angles to the body, the ar...

Introduction Axillary artery begins as a continuation of 3rd part of subclavian artery at the outer border of the first rib. It extends at the lower border of teres major muscle where it continues as the brachial artery. The pectoralis minor muscle divides the axillary artery into three parts. It usually gives off 6 branches. The 1st part which is medial to pectoralis minor muscle gives superio...

During routine dissection of an approximately 50-year-old male cadaver for the undergraduate medical students at Melaka Manipal Medical College, Manipal University, Manipal, we came across a variation in branching pattern of right axillary artery. The second part of axillary artery gave rise to a common trunk which divided into the subscapular and lateral thoracic arteries. The third part of ri...
